We passed greenlight, update on AI bot and a new little character!
Good news everyone! Move or Die was Greenlit this week on the 11th! This means the game will be released as soon as we finish a couple of things.
Right now we’re working on Online play and AI bots, and hopefully both of these will be finished and polished in early August. Then you’ll finally be able to get your hands on the game.
There will also be an in-depth AI post later on explaining all the problems and challenges we had while designing the AI. The reason we haven’t really written about it yet is because there’s really no best way to do it (in the sense that one case fits all), instead there’s all these different techniques that we keep trying and switching between, and we’re still tweaking. (Omar even made a forum post on the AI section of Gamedev.net )
After many iterations and changes of plan, we finally have something decent to show. We’re currently working on implementing basic AI in all the game modes, followed by improving it later on, creating different levels of difficulty.
